How to use

  1. Select a text layer in the timeline
  2. Choose your desired options
  3. Click one of the buttons to split the text

Split Buttons

  • Split into Characters: Creates a separate layer for each character
  • Split into Words: Creates a separate layer for each word
  • Split into Lines: Creates a separate layer for each line

Options

  • Delete original: Deletes the original text layer after the split is complete. When unticked, the original is hidden
  • Convert to shapes: Converts the new text pieces into shape layers instead of text layers, this is useful for more complex animations
  • Remove animators: When ticked, the pieces are plain text without the text's animators. When unticked, each piece keeps its animators' motion
