⌨️ ⌘/Ctrl + Click removes old layers after the operation

How to use

  1. Select the desired shape layers you want to merge
  2. Click on the 'Merge Shape Layers' button
  3. A new combined layer will be created. If you hold Ctrl/Cmd + Click during the operation, the original layers will be removed
