Summary
MoBar starts a free trial the first time you install it, so you can try every tool before buying. When you're ready, you activate MoBar with the license key sent to you after purchase. One license works on two computers.
Your free trial
The trial starts automatically the first time you open MoBar. There's no key to enter and nothing to sign up for.
When the trial ends, MoBar shows a Limit Exceed window where you can buy a license or sign in with one you already have.
💡 MoBar keeps working after the trial ends. Custom panels, search, custom buttons and your own scripts stay fully available, and you can run up to 10 MoBar tools per day.
Where to find your license key
After a successful purchase you'll receive an email with your license key. Check your Spam folder if it isn't in your inbox. You can also find it any time in your Lemon Squeezy account at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders.
Activate MoBar
- Open MoBar in After Effects.
- Open Settings and go to the Profile tab.
- Click Activate License.
- Enter the email address you used at checkout and your license key.
- Tick the Privacy Policy checkbox, then click Sign in.

💡 Use the same email address you bought with. A different address won't match the key.
Two computers per license
Each license activates on two computers, so you can run MoBar on a desktop and a laptop at the same time.
Moving to a third machine works the same way it does with Adobe apps. Deactivate one of your existing computers to free a slot, then sign in on the new one.
To deactivate, open Settings and go to the Profile tab. Once a license is active, the Activate License button becomes Deactivate License. Click it to release that computer.

I can't find my license key
It was emailed to you after purchase, so check your Spam folder first. You can also get it from app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders.
I bought a license but Sign in isn't working
Check that you're using the email address from your Lemon Squeezy receipt, not a different one, and that the Privacy Policy checkbox is ticked.
I get a warning that the license format is not correct
You're most likely entering a key from the script version of MoBar, which uses a different format to the extension. See the MoBar Script Version article under Support.
Can I move my license to a new computer
Yes. Open Settings, go to the Profile tab on the computer you want to release, and click Deactivate License. Then sign in on the new machine.
What happens if my subscription lapses
If a payment fails or you cancel, MoBar signs you out automatically and switches to the free version. Your custom panels, buttons, shortcuts and scripts all stay on your machine, and you can still run 10 MoBar tools per day. Sign in again with a new or renewed license to get everything back.
