Options
- Find: initiate a search within your project for a specific item. The ▼ button next to the field lists your recent entries
- Replace: substitute the found item with another one of your choosing. The ▼ button next to the field lists your recent entries
- Scope: define the range of your search and replacement operation, which can include:
- Selected Properties: only the properties you have specifically chosen will be affected
- Selected Layers: action will only take place within the layers you have selected
- Active Composition: every layer of the composition you are working in will be searched
- Selected Compositions: compositions you have highlighted will be the only ones impacted
- The Entire Project: search and replace operation will span across your entire project
- Filter: the second dropdown next to Scope narrows the operation by the state of the expressions:
- All Expressions: all expressions, regardless of their state, will be considered
- Enabled Expressions: only the expressions that are currently active will be taken into account
- Disabled Expressions: operation will only focus on expressions that are currently inactive
- Expressions with Errors: action will specifically target expressions that contain errors
- Match case: determine if your search is case sensitive. If this option is checked, 'Find' will differentiate between uppercase and lowercase letters
- Not inside words: skips matches that are part of a longer word or number. It finds x in "x + 1" but not in "index", and 10 in "time * 10" but not in "100"
- Preview list: shows every match before anything is changed, with its Comp, Layer and Property, the Current text and the New text
