Key Combinations

⌨️ ⌘/Ctrl + click  opens up a panel with some options to move layers

Shift

  • << and >>: move the selected layers 10 frames to the left or right
  • < and >: move the selected layers 1 frame to the left or right
  • ⌂: moves the selected layers to the current time
  • Value box: type a custom shift, choose "Frames" or "Seconds", and click OK or press Enter. Minus moves the layers earlier, plus later

Align

  • Comp Start: aligns the in point of the selected layers to the start of the composition
  • Comp End: aligns the out point of the selected layers to the end of the composition

How to use

  1. Pick the layers you want to shift first
  2. If you run the tool directly, it will move all the selected layers together to the current time
  3. If you hold Cmd/Ctrl key and run the tool, it will open up a panel with some options
  4. Nudge them one frame left or right using the arrow buttons, or by ten frames with the respective buttons
  5. For any other amount, type it in the value box and click OK
