⌨️ ⌘/Ctrl + click pre-composes layers without UI based on the last input

How to use

  1. Select the specific layer(s) that you would like to pre-compose
  2. Run the tool
  3. An options window will appear, providing various choices and settings
  4. Set the name and the options, then click OK
  5. Be aware that some options might be disabled depending on the type or number of layers you have selected
  6. The function operates similarly to the native pre-compose feature, allowing you to pre-compose each selected layer or use the Auto-Cropping option for added convenience

Name

  • Name: The name pattern for the new composition. Type text, or click the ▼ on the left for presets and tokens such as $layer, $comp and $n. The ▼ on the right lists your recent patterns
  • Next name: Shows the name the pattern will give

Attributes

  • Leave all attributes in "comp name": Keeps the layer's properties and keyframes in the current composition, as the native option does
  • Move all attributes into new composition: Moves the layers with their properties and keyframes into the new composition
  • Adjust composition duration based on the duration of selected layers: Makes the new composition as long as the selected layers

Multi Layers

  • Precompose each selected layer: Makes one composition for every selected layer

Optional settings

  • Auto-Crop: Crops the new composition to the bounds of its content
  • Open Comp: Opens the new composition in the viewer
  • Continuously Rasterize: Turns on Continuously Rasterize (Collapse Transformations) on the new pre-comp layer
  • Put in folder: Puts the new compositions in a folder next to the current one. Type the folder name in the box. $comp works in the name
