Key Combinations

⌨️ ⌘/Ctrl + click crops comps without UI based on last settings

Options

  • Padding: this allows you to specify the amount of padding to add around the cropped composition. You can use this to create a margin around the content, if needed
  • Ignore Null Objects, Ignore Hidden Layers, Ignore Adjustment Layers, Ignore Guide Layers: tick the types of layers that should be ignored during the cropping process
  • Ignore Masks: when ticked, a masked layer counts at its full size. When unticked, it is cropped to its masks at the current frame
  • Detect Alpha: footage, images, solids and pre-comps are cropped to their visible pixels at the current frame, not to their frames

Buttons

  • Active Comp: this button crops the active composition based on the layers it contains
  • Selected Layers: use this button to crop the active composition based on the selected layers
  • Comps in Timeline: this button crops the pre-comps of the layers selected in the timeline, and keeps them in place
  • Comps in Project: if you choose this option, each selected composition in the project panel will be cropped based on the layers it contains
