Summary
You can give MoBar tools their own After Effects keyboard shortcuts, set in the Shortcuts tab of Settings.
Set up the scripts folder
The first time you add a shortcut, MoBar asks to copy some files into your After Effects scripts folder. Click Let's do it! and two windows open. Copy everything from MoBar's Scripts into the AE Scripts folder, then restart After Effects.

💡 You only do this once per After Effects version.
Add a shortcut
- Open Settings and go to the Shortcuts tab.
- Click Add.
- Pick a tool from the Tools List. You can type to filter it.
- Tick the modifiers you want, then type the key.
- Click OK.

Use Edit and Delete in the same tab to change or remove a shortcut later.
Keyboard Shortcuts window
MoBar opens the After Effects Keyboard Shortcuts window to register your new shortcut. Closing it completes the process. On Windows, click Close. On Mac it closes on its own, so you'll just see it flash past.

If the shortcut is already taken
If the combination is already used by another After Effects command, MoBar warns you. Click OK and the shortcut goes to your MoBar tool, and the command that had it loses it.

💡 Worth choosing carefully. MoBar doesn't put the old shortcut back if you later delete the MoBar one.
20 shortcut limit
After Effects allows a maximum of 20 script shortcuts, so that's MoBar's limit too. Once you reach it, delete one before adding another.
Update shortcuts on startup
This setting lives in the General tab and is on by default. Each time After Effects starts, MoBar checks your saved shortcuts and matches them to the version you're running, so they keep working after an After Effects update or a version switch.
