Adding New Items

Summary

MoBar panels aren't limited to MoBar's own tools. You can add your expressions, scripts, effects, presets and other extensions to the main panel or any user panel, and give each one an icon.

Add an item

Click Add New Items, choose what you want to add, then fill in what that item needs and pick an icon.

Icons

Every item gets an icon. MoBar includes over 700 handmade icons, so most things you'd want to add already have one.

Custom icons

To use your own icon, open the Custom File tab and choose an SVG file.

For it to sit correctly next to MoBar's own icons, build it on a 50 x 50 canvas with the artwork inside a 30 x 30 area in the middle. The surrounding space is what keeps every icon on the panel visually the same size.

💡 Custom icons keep the colours in your SVG file. Unlike MoBar's own icons, they don't change with the theme, so pick colours that work with the theme you use

Manage your items

Drag an item to move it to a new position on the panel.

💡 Reordering and editing only work in dockable panels, not in popup panels.
