Options

  • Find: input the text you want to find. The ▼ button beside the field lists your recent entries
  • Replace: enter the text that you want to use as a replacement for the found text. The ▼ button beside the field lists your recent entries
  • Scope: choose where you want to find and replace text from the following options:
    • Selected Text Layers: only find and replace text in the selected text layers
    • Active Composition: find and replace text in the entire active composition
    • Selected Compositions: find and replace text in all selected compositions
    • The Entire Project: find and replace text across the entire project
  • Match case: If checked, the find operation is case sensitive
  • Not inside words: If checked, a match that touches a letter or a digit is skipped. "cat" is found in "The cat sat", not in "category", and "25" is found in "Room 25", not in "2025"

The list under the options shows the text layers that hold a match, in four columns: Comp, Layer, Current and New. Double-click a row to open its comp and select the layer.
