Options

  • Anchor Selection: allows you to specify where the resizing will originate from. For example, if you select the center anchor point, the composition will expand or contract from the center
  • Width and Height: here you can specify the new dimensions for your composition
  • Units: provides the option to measure the new dimensions in pixels or as a percentage of the original size
  • Relative: offers the ability to modify the canvas size in relation to its current size, similar to the feature in Photoshop

Scope

  • Active Composition: resizes the currently open or active composition in your After Effects panel
  • Selected Compositions: resizes the compositions you've selected in the project window

How to use

  1. Select the specific compositions you want to resize, or use the active composition
  2. Open the "Batch Resize Canvas" tool
  3. A dialog box resembling Photoshop's resize canvas panel will appear, allowing you to make the necessary adjustments
