Motion Ape Ltd ("Motion Ape", "we", "us") is dedicated to safeguarding your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It covers motionape.com and our digital products, including the MoBar and MoPack extensions.
Motion Ape Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 10238383, with its registered office at Unit 3b Berol House, 25 Ashley Road, London, England, N17 9LJ. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
2.1 Information you give us. When you buy a product, contact us, or subscribe to our newsletter, you provide details such as your name, email address and the contents of your message. Payment details are handled by our payment providers and are never stored on our servers.
2.2 Information collected automatically on this website. Our web servers and content delivery network keep standard access logs, which include your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you view and the time of your visit. These logs are used to keep the site running, diagnose faults and protect against abuse.
2.3 Information collected by the MoBar and MoPack extensions. When you sign in to MoBar or MoPack and while you use them, the extension sends the following to our licensing service:

We use the account, computer and connection information to activate your license, to enforce the limit of two computers per license, and to support you when you report a problem. We use the record of what you use inside the product to understand which parts matter most, so we can decide what to improve, document and build next.
Cookies are small data files stored on your device by the sites you visit.
3.1 What we use. We do not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels or any other analytics or tracking service on this website. The cookies set when you visit motionape.com are:
3.2 Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other websites.
3.3 Embedded videos. Some of our documentation pages embed videos hosted on YouTube. When you open a page containing one, YouTube may set cookies on your device, whether or not you play the video. These cookies are set by Google and governed by Google's privacy policy, not by us. You can prevent them by blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings, which will not affect the rest of the documentation.
3.4 Managing cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, in particular checkout, from working.
3.5 The extensions. MoBar and MoPack do not use cookies. The information they send is described in section 2.3.
4.1 To provide our products and services. To process your order, deliver your purchase, issue and validate your license, enforce the two-computer limit, provide support and answer your questions.
4.2 To communicate with you. To send order confirmations and important service notices, and, where you have asked for them, product updates and newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
4.3 To maintain and improve what we offer. To keep the site and our products working, investigate faults, protect against abuse, understand which features are used, and improve our products and documentation.

Each of these is bound to protect your information and may only use it to provide the service to us.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to establish or defend legal claims. If the business is sold or merged, personal information may transfer as part of the business assets.
Some of our providers are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States and the European Union. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or an adequacy decision.
We keep order and license records for as long as your license is active, and afterwards for seven years to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Sign-in records and records of what you use inside the product are kept for twenty-four months. Support messages are kept for three years. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
