Find Effects
Finds effects by name, status, or scope, with options to batch enable, disable, delete, and reveal

How to use

  • 1
    Choose the scope to define where you want to search
  • 2
    Optionally, filter by the effect's status (e.g., enabled, disabled)
  • 3
    Enter an effect name in the "Search by Name" field and click "Search" to find specific effects
  • 4
    If you leave the search field empty, the tool will list all effects matching your scope
  • 5
    Select one or more effects from the results list
  • 6
    Use the buttons at the bottom to Enable, Disable, Delete, or Reveal the selected effects
Scope
  • Layer/Composition Scope:
    • Selected Layers: Searches for effects only on the selected layers
    • Active Comp: Searches all layers in the current composition
    • Selected Comps: Searches all layers within the compositions you selected in the project panel
    • Entire Project: Searches every composition in your project
  • Effect Status Filter:
    • All Effects: Finds all effects, regardless of their status
    • Enabled Effects: Finds only effects that are currently turned on
    • Disabled Effects: Finds only effects that are currently turned off
    • Missing Effects: Finds effects that are used in the project but are not installed on your system
Buttons
  • Enable: Turns on the selected effects
  • Disable: Turns off the selected effects
  • Delete: Removes the selected effects from their layers
  • Reveal: Shows the selected effects in the timeline and effect controls panel
Note

When you first run the tool, it may take a few seconds to load all the effects from your library, this might seem slow but it's just the tool scanning for all available effects
